INdT encourages new developers for S40 and Windows Phone

INdT, a major contributor in promoting the Nokia ecosystem of application development in Brazil, starts new projects of evangelization of Nokia platforms. The initiatives are aimed at developers interested in creating apps for mobile phones (S40) and smartphones (Windows Phone.) Among the main actions there are university lectures, events with partners such as Nokia Developer Days and Nokia Hackaton challenges, and Webinars.
“Our goal is disseminatin the technologies being used by Nokia into the community,” says the manager of application development at INdT Angelo Nicolay.
Partnerships with universities
At PUC-SP, one of the universities participating in the project, students of computer science have the opportunity to attend to monthly training on developing apps for platforms used by Nokia . So far, two meetings have already been made and two others are still expected by June.
Courses and challenges
Ten online courses (webinars) and two challenges for developers (hackatons) must also happen later this semester. Interested parties should monitor INdT’s site (www.indt.org) and its profiles on social networks (Facebook / Twitter).
“The process of fostering innovation INdT is closely related to education and lifelong learning is one of our most important strategic assets,” says Nicolay.
Nokia Developer Day
The Nokia Developer Day is a Nokia exclusive event for its developer community, to bring what’s new in the mobile market. During the conference, Nokia offers developers opportunities to distribute and monetize their apps in the Marketplace (Windows Phone apps store ) and cases of the Brazilian market.
For over 10 years, INdT benefits Nokia’s development ecosystem in the country. Through partnerships with universities and scientific cooperation and academic cooperation pronects, technical courses and professional Master degrees are promoted with more technical content coming closer to the market’s reality.
“In addition to ensuring a competitive advantage, initiatives like these form opinion leaders and contribute to the success Nokia’s development ecosystem ,” adds the manager of Nokia’s services and ecosystems, Daniel Rocha.
