INdT is equipped with world-class laboratories and many of its equipment and tests are unique in Brazil. The Laboratory of Product Technology and Manufacturing consists of a multidisciplinary team that includes engineers from many areas, such as mechanical, materials, chemicals, electronics, computing and technical expertise. Its facilities located in Manaus, are the stage for research on failure analysis, materials characterization, accelerated testing of electronic products, industrial metrology, electronic, mechanical testing, rapid prototyping and colorimetry, among others.

The high-level structure has climate chambers, X-ray analyzer, equipment for measuring and prevent damage from electrostatic discharge and rapid prototyping, optical microscopes and digital equipment for materials characterization and mechanical tests, besides the Drop Tester, patented by INdT in partnership with Fucapi,  considered the most reliable equipment of this type by Nokia globally.

Prototyping that anticipates results

Rapid Prototyping is a technology that optimizes the work of professionals engaged in the creation of a new product to the market. Through it, in a few hours, it’s possible to have a prototype of a project in hands . This service is one of the highlights of INdT Manaus, which is operating with the FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) MC 400, a device that produces parts from concepts, using the thermoplastic ABS M30. In practice, the process can be likened to a 3D printing. This equipment transforms digital formats produced in 3D plastic parts with precision of technical details. Since when it was deployed, the FDM 400 MC has produced wide range of sets of prototypes, consisting of dozens of parts and micro parts.
