ESD Laboratory: Electrostatic discharge under control
Wednesday, 22 Dec 2010
Neglecting the control of electrostatic discharges on the production process could result on the production of devices with severe electric circuit failure. INdT counts with extra reinforcement on the test and control of theses discharges: the ESD laboratory.
Amongst the laboratory equipment, we can highlight the Semiconductor Device Analyzer, a computer capable of meticulously analyzing the damages caused by electrostatic discharge on electronic circuits.
This equipment simulates a discharge and records all the damage variations occurred on the object, making a microscopic evaluation of these variations, with a preventive focus.
Advantages
With the new laboratory, it’s possible to develop more applied researches and issue broader reports, based on international standards. The test results guarantee the validation and homologation of its suppliers and help with the technical inspections in areas that go beyond the production line.
